Across the bridge and into Wales.

I first met Alice and Christian on a warm day in April 23 at their home just outside Hungerford. It was here we discussed the plans for the big day and talked through the logistics of capturing their wedding at Celtic Manor. The venue sits high above the M4, majestically looking down at you as you drive towards Newport. On many a journey I have looked up in awe at the size of the hotel and wondered just how big it can be. It is safe to say that from the busy motorway, the sheer scale isn't even close to the reality of it.

On the 12 December 23, I arrived to the hotel and met Alice and her bridesmaids as they were being pampered and looked after by the skilful team including the resident hairdresser Rhys in the presidential suite. A room with a view for sure. I looked out to the golf courses and to the third location of the day where the evening party would take place.

Before the minibus rides or the tunnels that run from venue to venue (honestly, this place is HUGE) we stopped to take this shot of Alice. The room almost begs for a bridal shot in the full dress. I doubt there'll ever be another time in my life when I'm in a presidential suite either so its all about seizing those fleeting moments. Lets talk about this dress for a minute. Originally sleeveless, the wonderfully amazing Lizzie and her team added the details sleeves as if they had always been there. I will admit to not understanding the process but WOW such a stunning finished piece.

Tis the season

I love a winter wedding, I know the whether can be gloomy but it can make for such a dramatic backdrop and thankfully Alice & Christian were happy to brave the weather in order to go out and get the couples shots. We jumped into another minivan along with a bridesmaid and found a spot on the course to take these shots.

Nobody parties like the Welsh

Bold statement I know but I'll let the below photos do the talking for me. I knew I had a 2 hour drive home but the music was so good and the party vibe had me wanting to stay and dance long after the cake was cut.
